Life Groups

Life Groups forming soon!

All adults in the parish are invited to join a small group experience. Life Groups are an easy-entry chance for a set group of adults, who may be from similar or differing backgrounds, to meet once a month for about two years to intentionally support one another in community, grow in Christian fellowship, and explore faith in a safe environment through open conversations, reading Scripture, sharing life experiences, and praying for one another.

Groups typically have 10-18 members and are open to any mix of people from all stages of adulthood. Groups commit to meeting once a month, typically on the weekend for a few hours, getting to know each other, enjoying some food and drinks, sharing about life, studying Scripture, and praying for one another.

Join us on May 1, 2026, for an unforgettable evening at the 100th Anniversary Gala and Staff Appreciation hosted by St. Paul the Apostle Church at the elegant Rhythm City Casino in Davenport, IA. From 5:30 to 10:30 PM, we will celebrate a century of excellence in Catholic education while honoring the dedicated faculty and staff who have shaped our community.

This special night will feature a lively atmosphere with both live and silent auctions, offering unique items and experiences for bidding. Come together with fellow parishioners and supporters to reflect on our rich history, enjoy delightful cuisine, dance to the music of Identity Crisis, and contribute to the future of our beloved school and parish.

First Friday Adoration

We offer Eucharistic Adoration on the first Friday of each month. In order to make this happen, we are looking for two people per hour to keep watch with Jesus and ensure every slot is covered. Various people will come in and out for Adoration that day, but we appreciate your commitment to having a person present each hour!

What a wonderful way to begin the month by spending some quality time with Jesus.

Eucharistic Ministers Needed at Genesis

Genesis Health Systems in the Quad Cities is in need of volunteers to distribute Communion at their hospitals here in the Quad Cities. If they can find enough people, they would like to expand Communion distribution to Genesis West Campus. Once approved, volunteers can coordinate their availability on the Genesis scheduling system. Communion is typically distributed in the early afternoon. National Catholic Youth Conference, NCYC

NCYC is a powerful, and unique three-day experience of prayer, community, evangelization, catechesis, service, and empowerment for high school Catholic teenagers and adult chaperones. The Diocese of Davenport helps coordinate churches to NCYC.

NCYC parent meeting in McEleney Hall on Monday, September 30 beginning at 7 pm . If your teen is interested in attending NCYC 2025 don’t miss out on our ‘need to know’ parent meeting! We will discuss the weekend, what to expect, the cost, and some fundraising opportunities for all.

It is a longstanding tradition in the Church that a priest may be requested to offer a Mass for a specific intention, even when one cannot be physically present at the Mass.

If you would like to schedule a Mass intention, please contact the parish office at davstpaul@diodav.org. The suggested stipend for a Mass intention is $5. We are currently taking Mass intentions for 2024.

Lift Your Voice! Join the St. Paul Singers!

Love to sing? We are forming the St. Paul Singers, a new praise group open to everyone in our parish community from 4th grade on up to 104!

Share the Joy of Song! Our first meeting/rehearsal will be following 11:00 Mass on Sunday, August 25. We'll be lifting voices to inspire the congregation at select Masses, adoration services, and other special events throughout the year (about 6-10 times).

No experience necessary! Just come ready to raise your voice in praise!
